Marilyne Pflieger is currently a Researcher and Lecturer at the University of Nova Gorica (Slovenia) in the Laboratory for Environmental Research.

RESEARCH INTERESTS
Fate, impact and removal of organic pollutants in the environment
-    Behaviour of pesticides, PCBs and PAHs adsorbed on atmospheric particles and/or marine plastic fragments/microplastics;
-    Atmospheric sampling of pesticides and VOCs;
-    Heterogeneous (aerosol) and homogeneous (water) photodegradation studies (ozonation, OH radical oxidation, photolysis);
-    Photocatalysis of antibiotics in wastewater;  
-    Ecotoxicity of organic pollutants;
-    Electrical-discharge-based techniques for the removal of antibiotics in water;
-    Analytical technics (e.g. GC-FID/ECD/MS, LC-MS/MS, HPLC-UV/FLD, IC, TOC/TN, PFE…)
-    Design of experimental devices.
